Cai and I decided to make some fancy truffles for daddy to take to work tomorrow (ok, so they aren't THAT fancy, but better than plain ole cookies or cake right?!?!) Anywho...things were going swimmingly with the oreo truffles except that 2 year olds dont understand fancy, and they don't understand why you want to fix all their truffles after they put them on the sheet (see exhibit A...see mommys perfectly fancy truffles on the left, and Cai's truffle at the far right edge of the pan...now how could I let that go? I couldn't even dip that...its not a perfectly rounded ball!!! ;0)

Then, we ran into some technical difficulties when we moved on to the cookie dough truffles. Despite my repeated "DON'T lick your fingers Cai," he licked his fingers and once he discovered it was in fact cookie dough.....lets just say production went WAY down!
And this is a look we see often at our home. This is the "Oh crap, not only have I been busted, but my mom has been collecting photographic evidence of my offense for the last 5 minutes! Whoops..." Followed by the "What mom? I'm just as saintly as can be" smile.
So what are your families cooking up for the holidays?
