Here comes Santa Claus, right down Red Oak Lane...

Tonight we took Cai to see Santa. Its the first year he's been really interested in him, so we were excited to go! Cai's 2nd drum set broke several weeks ago (see older posts for more on that), and ever since then, he has been begging fo new set (not to mention he's been drumming with EVERYTHING he can get his hands on...including my knitting needles...oh but don't worry....he made sure to take my scarf OFF the needles before his solo! UGH!)

Anyway, we got him a set for Christmas, but after tonight I guess they'll be coming from Santa. We got within 20 feet of the Jolly man and he began loudly requesting a new drum set. Even after he sat on his lap the only thing he would say is "new drum set." I guess he wanted to make sure he got the point across. Anyway, after seeing Santa we got a neat little gift bag with an ornament, stocking, and candy. Then we took a tour of the grounds and filled up on cookies and cocoa. This was our first year going and I can say without a doubt this will be a new tradition of ours. We had such great time, and I just love Christmas lights so there was no shortage of entertainment for me! lol
