So tonight for supper we had pork roast (it called for pork tenderloin but I ALWAYS go with a large roast so I can double duty it...this weekend we're having pulled pork sandwiches from it). And we paired it with escalloped apples, and white cheddar hashbrowns.
So, my critique....
Did NOT care for the apples! Don't get me wrong, I loved cooked apples...when they are wrapped in delicious fattening crust and covered with vanilla ice cream! But escalloped...no thanks.
The roast was no different than I usually make it, so that was fine. And then, the show stealer...the hashbrowns. They were AWESOME! OMG, yummmmmmmo! I don't usually use white cheddar in my recipes so I wasn't sure how it would taste, but in combo with the onions and hashbrowns it was so good!
So, my next installment is a recipe from Everyday Italian...fontina stuffed chicken breast (never had fontina, hope its good!)
So here a picture of my culinary perfection (we eat on plastic plates here...I'm far too clumsy for glass. So mine is no where near as pretty as Rachel Rays, but I tried! lol)
